Affordable Health Coverage
for Individuals & Families

Whether you’re self-employed, between jobs, or just looking for better coverage — we help you find the right ACA plan and check if you qualify for subsidies that lower your monthly cost.

The Affordable Care Act — Plain English

The ACA (sometimes called “Obamacare”) created a marketplace where individuals and families can shop for health insurance — and potentially receive financial help to lower the cost. Plans must cover essential health benefits, and you can’t be denied for pre-existing conditions.

💰 You May Qualify for Subsidies

Many people are surprised to find out they qualify for premium tax credits that can significantly reduce — or even eliminate — their monthly health insurance premium. Eligibility is based on your income and household size. We’ll help you find out what you qualify for before you enroll.

Choosing the Right Plan Level

ACA plans come in four “metal” tiers. The right choice depends on how often you use healthcare and how much you can afford each month.

🥉 Bronze

Lower monthly premium, higher out-of-pocket costs. Best if you’re generally healthy and rarely use care.

🥈 Silver

Mid-range premium and costs. Best if you want balance — and required if you qualify for Cost Sharing Reductions.

🥇 Gold

Higher premium, lower out-of-pocket. Best if you use healthcare regularly and want predictable costs.

💠 Platinum

Highest premium, lowest out-of-pocket. Best for people with significant ongoing healthcare needs.
