Protect Your Smile
Without Breaking the Bank
Dental care is expensive without coverage. We help individuals and families find affordable dental plans with broad provider networks โ so you can get the care you need.
The Three Tiers of Dental Coverage
Most dental plans organize benefits into three categories. Understanding these helps you know what to expect before you ever sit in the chair.
๐ชฅ Preventive Care
Cleanings, exams, and X-rays. Most plans cover these at 100% โ because catching problems early saves everyone money.
๐ง Basic Services
Fillings, extractions, and simple restorations. Typically covered at 70โ80% after your deductible is met.
๐ฆท Major Services
Crowns, bridges, dentures, and root canals. Usually covered at 50% โ still a major help on expensive procedures.
Types of Dental Plans We Offer
PPO Dental Plans
See any dentist in or out of network. In-network dentists offer discounted rates, but you’re never locked in. The most flexible option for most people.
HMO / DHMO Plans
Lower premiums in exchange for staying within a specific network. Great if you already have a dentist in the network or want to minimize monthly costs.
Dental Discount Plans
Not insurance โ but a membership that gives you discounted rates at participating dentists. No waiting periods, no maximums. Useful as a standalone or supplement.
Dental Insurance FAQ
Is there a waiting period for dental coverage?
Many plans have waiting periods for basic and major services โ often 3โ6 months for basic and 6โ12 months for major. Preventive care usually has no waiting period. We’ll point out any waiting periods before you enroll.
Does dental cover orthodontics (braces)?
Some plans include orthodontic coverage, often with a separate lifetime maximum. It varies by plan. If braces are a priority, let us know and we’ll filter for plans that include it.
What is an annual maximum?
Most dental plans cap how much they’ll pay out per year โ typically $1,000โ$2,000. After that, you pay 100% until the new plan year begins. Some higher-tier plans have higher maximums or no cap.
Can I get dental without health insurance?
Absolutely. Standalone dental plans are available and don’t require you to have a health plan with us. Many people add dental separately from their health coverage.
